J.P. Morgan Asset Management has extended two tokenized money market funds, MONY and JLTXX, to Solana for qualified U.S. investors, using its Morgan Money platform for subscriptions and redemptions, Crypto.news reported on October 22, 2026. Token balances are issued to investors’ own blockchain addresses, the firm said.

U.today reported that the investment management arm of JPMorgan Chase formally launched the pair in an October 22 press release. The bank’s global head of product for digital and tokenized assets, Paul Przybylski, framed the expansion around client needs, saying their operations span more than one network and their liquidity should as well.

Key facts

  • Morgan Money handles subscriptions and redemptions, with tokens delivered to investors’ blockchain addresses.
  • MONY is a British Virgin Islands private placement fund with a $1 million initial minimum, 16 basis points of fees, and SS&C as transfer agent, per its FAQ.
  • MONY holds U.S. Treasuries and Treasury-backed repo, targeting a stable $1 NAV, and its FAQ says it is not subject to Rule 2a-7.
  • JLTXX’s May 13 prospectus required pre-approved wallet addresses and listed Ethereum as its only public network at the time; annual operating expenses after waivers are 0.16%, with arrangements through June 30, 2028.
  • U.today reported that J.P. Morgan Asset Management held $4.8 trillion in assets under management as of September 30, 2026.

Two funds, two sets of rules

The funds are aimed at different institutional audiences. MONY, launched on Ethereum in December 2025, is a private vehicle whose official shareholder records remain offchain, with investor onboarding subject to anti-money-laundering and know-your-customer checks. JLTXX is a registered government money market fund that the October 22 release describes as built to support stablecoin issuers under the GENIUS Act.

The two reports differ on one point of financing detail. Crypto.news ties a $100 million seed investment to MONY’s December 2025 Ethereum launch and describes it as initial internal capital, not the amount now on Solana. U.today says the $100 million was invested into JLTXX when it launched on Ethereum in May 2026. Neither report discloses current assets for either fund on Solana.

JLTXX’s filing adds operational caveats: token balances are meant to match fund shares, but the two records can temporarily diverge when blockchain instructions arrive outside business days, and the transfer agent’s register governs legal ownership. The prospectus also describes optional USDC conversion services before purchases and for redemption proceeds.

Solana’s institutional roster grows

JPMorgan follows rivals onto the network. BlackRock moved its BUIDL fund to Solana in March 2025 via Securitize, adding a seventh network to a product then valued at $1.7 billion, a figure covering the fund rather than its Solana share class alone. Franklin Templeton added Solana support for its Franklin OnChain U.S. Government Money Fund in February 2025; its BENJI token represents one share of the FOBXX fund, whose transfers agent keeps the official ownership record.

Why it matters

The addition puts a bank-branded cash product on the same rails as its asset-manager competitors, giving institutional buyers a way to hold money market exposure as tokens they can move between wallets. For Solana, it is another large issuer using the chain for real-world asset settlement rather than trading. For JPMorgan, it spreads the Kinexys blockchain push across a second public network after Ethereum.

What to watch

Neither fund’s current assets on Solana have been published, so the next concrete data point will be any disclosure of balances or inflows for MONY and JLTXX beyond Morgan Money. JLTXX’s fee waiver and reimbursement arrangements run through June 30, 2028.
