Mint opens Web3 player economy ahead of MNTD token activation
Mint.io has opened its Web3 player economy across its full web platform, tying games, XP, ranks, leaderboards and rewards into a single progression layer ahead of the activation of its MNTD token, according to Crypto.news. The operator says progress recorded on the main web platform and on its free-to-play Telegram Mini App will count toward MNTD allocations once the token is live.
Technology for the platform is supplied by Hero Gaming Group, an iGaming business founded in 2013, and Mint.io is operated by Sage Shark Ltd under Anjouan gaming license No. ALSI-202507035-FI2. Ambcrypto reported that Mint was built as a token-integrated ecosystem from the ground up rather than retrofitted with token mechanics after launch.

Key facts

- Mint.io’s web platform and Telegram Mini App are already operational; eligible pre-launch activity has carried a 200% XP boost ahead of the MNTD activation.
- Leaderboard standings accumulated through both the web platform and the Telegram Mini App will convert into MNTD allocations at activation, and Mint has not disclosed the conversion rate or any projections for MNTD’s market value.
- MNTD emissions will be hard capped and linked to platform revenue, with reward limits and controls aimed at promotional abuse and exploitation of the progression system.
- Technology is supplied by Hero Gaming Group, and Mint.io is operated by Sage Shark Ltd under Anjouan license No. ALSI-202507035-FI2.
- Ambcrypto reported that Mint’s AI-assisted pipelines produce fully themed, token-utility experiences in roughly ten days.
A progression layer shared across titles
Mint’s multi-chain infrastructure layer connects supported games to a common progression system, so XP, ranks and rewards carry across the platform instead of being confined to one title. Players collect XP through eligible activity, move through tiers and compete for prize pools. Onchain verification is used for core reward flows, and AI-assisted incentive modeling manages emissions and balances the economy as participation changes.
Mint’s help center states that real-mode gameplay uses supported cryptocurrency balances, with qualifying activity able to contribute to XP or other rewards depending on the applicable rules. Demo play, where offered, generates neither XP nor real money rewards. Crypto.news reported those details; Ambcrypto did not cover the demo-play distinction.

Mint has not provided projections for MNTD’s market value or for the monetary value of allocations earned during the current campaign. The company also has not published the rate at which leaderboard progress converts into token allocations.
Emissions tied to revenue rather than launch hype
Under Mint’s model, token distribution is connected to eligible platform activity rather than relying solely on rewards handed out around the launch window. Emissions are capped and tied to revenue generated by the platform, while reward limits govern how much can enter circulation through the player economy.
Mint says the design is intended to hold up during periods of higher volume and slower market conditions alike, without depending on unrestricted token distribution. Controls against exploitation are meant to restrict abuse of promotional and progression systems and to keep participation fair.
Why it matters
Mint is testing whether a gaming economy can be structured around pre-existing player activity instead of a launch-day distribution event. For players, the stake is that the ranks and XP they are accumulating now are the basis for their future token allocation, even though the conversion rate is still undisclosed. If the revenue-linked cap works as described, the platform’s token supply would scale with real activity rather than with marketing spend, a design that other Web3 gaming projects have struggled to sustain after launch.
What to watch
The activation of the MNTD token is the next concrete step, since it will put a number on the allocations Mint has promised to pre-launch participants. Also pending are the multi-title integrations and token-denominated leaderboard seasons, for which Mint has not given a timetable or a count of games.
