Bitcoin Reclaims $80K as Fed Bets Shift; Apeing Presale Whitelist Tops 18,000 Ahead of Sept. 8

Bitcoin reclaimed the $80,000 level on September 4, trading around $80,762 after a roughly 5% advance, as market expectations shifted toward a possible pause in Federal Reserve rate hikes. The move comes as Apeing, a crypto project, confirmed its presale is scheduled for September 8 at 15:00 UTC, with more than 18,000 members reportedly registered on its whitelist.

Bitcoin has climbed back above $80,000 following a 5% gain, while the Apeing presale is set for September 8 with over 18,000 whitelist members. XRP is consolidating near $1.36 as U.S. spot ETFs recorded $474 million in quarterly inflows.

Fed Rate Expectations Shift, Boosting Bitcoin

The latest Bitcoin rally was fueled by comments from Federal Reserve Governor Christopher Waller, who indicated he could support keeping interest rates unchanged at the September policy meeting if inflation continues to moderate. Market-implied expectations for a September rate hike dropped to roughly 50% from nearly 70% earlier in the week, according to CME FedWatch data.

Bitcoin’s move above $80,000 places it above its 50-day, 100-day, and 200-day exponential moving averages, which sit near $71,122, $69,695, and $72,493, respectively. The next technical test is the $87,476 resistance level, which aligns with the 78.6% Fibonacci retracement. A decisive break above that could bring Bitcoin’s previous swing high of $97,924 into focus, while a drop below $75,233 (the 50% Fibonacci level) could expose the 200-day EMA near $72,493.

Momentum indicators show the recent advance may be stretched. Bitcoin’s Relative Strength Index sits around 71, placing it in overbought territory. The MACD remains positive, but the expanding histogram suggests the move could be losing steam. Upcoming economic data, including U.S. inflation reports and jobless claims, will likely influence the next direction.

XRP Consolidates as Institutional Inflows Rise

XRP is trading in a narrow range between $1.36 and $1.37, consolidating after a rally that took it from roughly $0.99 at the start of August to nearly $1.70 before retracing. About 3.2 billion XRP changed hands between $1.35 and $1.38 during that advance, making this range a critical support zone.

Institutional interest in XRP has been notable. U.S. spot XRP ETFs recorded approximately $474 million in quarterly inflows, according to SoSoValue data. Ripple separately reported over $1.5 billion in cumulative ETF inflows, with more than 769 million XRP held across five funds. The $1.35 level is the key support; a break could expose $1.20, while resistance sits at $1.55-$1.68. A breakout above that could target $1.86-$1.90 and potentially $2.

An AI simulation projected a 90-day high of $2.14, a median of $1.47, and a bearish range of $1.00-$0.92, but these are scenarios, not guarantees. XRP remains sensitive to market conditions, liquidity, sentiment, and ETF flows.

Apeing Presale Approaches with Whitelist Interest

Apeing, a crypto project, is set to launch its presale on September 8 at 15:00 UTC. Stage 1 offers tokens at $0.0001 each, with a proposed listing price of $0.01. The difference between these figures represents a 100-fold multiple, but this is not a projected return; the token’s market value after listing will depend on liquidity, supply, demand, and trading conditions.

The project has reported more than 18,000 whitelist members. Registration does not guarantee an allocation, and the initial supply is limited. Participants must follow the official registration process on the Apeing website, which includes entering an email address and confirming the registration. The whitelist window is limited, and the project has urged interested users to complete registration before the launch.

The presale’s timing coincides with a period of heightened market activity, as Bitcoin’s recovery and XRP’s institutional inflows suggest renewed risk appetite. However, the outcome of the Apeing presale will depend on execution, community engagement, and broader market sentiment.

As September trading continues, the cryptocurrency market faces several key catalysts: the Fed’s policy decision later this month, Bitcoin’s test of $87,476, XRP’s ability to hold $1.35, and the reception of new token sales like Apeing. These factors will likely shape the market’s direction in the coming weeks.
