Telegram has launched a series of new features aimed at enhancing user experience and facilitating business operations, according to Telegram. Among the latest updates are the introduction of a gift-sending feature and a verification platform designed for businesses.

Gifts Feature

Telegram users can now send gifts to friends, which recipients can showcase on their profile pages or convert into Stars. These Stars serve multiple purposes, such as supporting content creators and purchasing services within mini apps. Users can send gifts by accessing a contact’s profile and selecting the ‘Send a Gift’ option, which includes customizable messages and emojis.

Verification Platform for Businesses

The newly launched verification platform allows businesses to verify customer phone numbers efficiently. By sending verification codes through Telegram, businesses can save costs, as the service charges only $0.01 per user. This service is positioned as a faster and more secure alternative to traditional SMS verification methods. Additionally, Telegram’s Gateway API is available for free testing by interested developers.

Improved Reporting and Video Chats

Telegram has enhanced its reporting interface, offering users more specific options to report content violations. This update aims to bolster the platform’s moderation capabilities and refine its AI systems. Furthermore, video chats on iOS have been rebuilt to enhance performance and battery efficiency, ensuring devices remain cooler during extended calls.

This feature, previously available on iOS and Desktop, expands Telegram’s livestreaming capabilities across all platforms.

These updates reflect Telegram’s ongoing commitment to providing innovative solutions for both personal and business use cases.
