Microsoft announced an Upgraded Version of the same AI Technology

Microsoft has released a new version of both the Bing search engine as well as the Edge web browser. Both of these are powered by the next generation of OpenAI’s language model, which is more advanced than ChatGpt. This new information comes only when day after Google introduced Bard, its very own experimental conversational AI tool, which is driven by LaMDA.

Corporate Vice President & Consumer Chief Marketing Officer Yusuf Mehdi said to harness the world’s knowledge better and to empower people to unlock the joy of discovery, they are working on new projects to provide the world with more benefits.

According to the firm, to explore the AI-powered Edge browser and Bing search engine, users have to visit Bing.com now, expect an expansion to millions soon.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella remarked that the company was committed to adhering to its AI principles and that it was necessary to keep in mind the possible drawbacks of any new technology.

He explained that they must consider the potential negative possible outcomes of any technological advancement. He emphasized that Microsoft is interested in developing and employing technology that helps people work more efficiently and that is consistent with human values.

Nadella said he expects this technology to revolutionize the software category very much and emphasized the transformative power such a tool may have on the internet.

He predicts that in the near future, every encounter with a computer will be mediated by an agent. At least in Microsoft’s eyes, the process begins with a search.

At the event, to provide users with a ChatGPT-like experience, the firm has revealed how it integrates OpenAI’s GPT-4 model into its search engine.

Related to more recent events, the new updates of Bing are not limited only to data covering up to 2021, and now it is capable of managing queries.
