Golden Globes to Host the Annual Ceremony Honoring Film and TV

The Golden Globe Awards were one of the most important stops on the awards circuit for the entertainment industry. A year after the Golden Globes were shunned by Hollywood, however, big names like Brad Pitt, Steven Spielberg, and other famous names are planning to attend this year’s ceremony.

According to Helen Hoehne, head of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, the organization that bestows the Golden Globes, it is anticipated that the majority of this year’s candidates will be present at the red-carpet ceremony that will take place in Beverly Hills.

Hoehne, a German Journalist elected in late 2021 to lead the team through diversity and ethical problems, stated we had gotten a really terrific reaction from the nominees. As the organizers put it, we have very few not coming, therefore, we are happy. In her words, this would be the party of the year.

Following the findings of the investigations conducted by the Los Angeles Times in 2021, the future of the Golden Globe was called into question.

The investigation found that the organization did not employ any Black journalists. Some of the members have been accused of making comments that were sexist, racist, and otherwise offensive, as well as of trying to get favors from the movie studios and celebrities.

As per the reports, NBC will no longer broadcast the 2022 telecast. Further, as the HFPA instituted changes and new ethics rules, the Comcast Corp network agreed to air the ceremony again.

Among the 200 present voters, nearly 52% are ethnically and racially diverse, as well as 10% are Black. Hoehne said in the last 18 months, the firm really went through a total reform process. Also, we have increased transparency, accountability, and diversity.
