Holoride’s New VR Tech Brings Exciting Experiences For Backseat Riders

Holoride, a Germany-based startup, is reportedly bringing new VR experiences for riders in the backseat of the car that are synchronized with driving. Riders can apparently play VR games, use VR apps, and access other material while driving using an HTC Vive Flow.

Elastic Content, as the company calls it, is a media format that is used to submerge backseat passengers in virtual worlds. This produces a virtual environment that is always moving, allowing riders to experience curves, acceleration, and deceleration.

Use mobile apps like Netflix or Disney+ by mirroring the screens of Android devices into the VR headset. Holoride also plans to provide a streaming browser for websites like YouTube, Twitch, and others.

In a motion-synchronous environment, 2D applications are shown on a virtual screen in cinema format. It is anticipated that this will get rid of sensitive people’s motion sickness problems.

Holoride dynamically adjusts the VR experience to various vehicle data, such as navigation and sensor data, in real time.

In addition to VR games, there will be 2D movies and HTC Phone Mirroring.

The Holoride Pioneers Pack, which costs 699 euros, has been offered on the Holoride website since November 2. It comes with a safety strap, an 8BitDo Pro 2 gamepad, and the HTC Vive Flow VR headset.

The latter is attached to the seatbelt in the car and is designed to offer security in the event of unforeseen circumstances while driving.

Cloudbreakers: Leaving Heaven is one of the VR games that will be accessible when Holoride debuts. The game was created by Schell Games, the studio behind Until You Fall, I Expect You To Die 1 and 2, and Among Us VR.

Starting in the middle of November, certain Audi cars will be equipped with holoride. These vehicles range from the A4 through the A8, the Q5, the Q7, and the Q8, as well as the e-tron Sportsback, electric Audi e-tron, and e-tron GT variants.
